1. Shipping destinations
SVAICO currently offers shipping to 42 supported countries.
The complete list of supported shipping destinations is provided at the end of this Shipping Policy.
Shipping availability for an individual order may depend on the delivery address, product type, parcel dimensions, weight, carrier coverage and applicable legal or customs restrictions.
Shipping options, costs and estimated delivery times are calculated and displayed during checkout based on the destination and the products in your order.
If a country is not included in our list of supported shipping destinations, checkout shipping is not currently offered to that destination.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where a product cannot legally or practically be shipped to the selected destination. Any amount paid for a cancelled order will be refunded.
2. Shipping carriers and services
Orders are normally shipped using UPS or another suitable carrier selected by SVAICO.
Available services may include:
- UPS Standard.
- UPS Worldwide Saver.
- Other UPS or carrier services where appropriate.
The shipping methods offered during checkout depend on the destination, parcel characteristics and available carrier services.
The service selected at checkout will normally be used. However, SVAICO may use an equivalent or better service where necessary, provided this does not materially reduce the expected delivery standard.
We do not guarantee that every shipping service is available for every product or destination.
3. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed during checkout before payment is completed.
The shipping price may depend on:
- Delivery country and postal code.
- Parcel weight and dimensions.
- Number of parcels.
- Product type.
- Selected shipping service.
- Remote or extended-area surcharges.
- Oversized or special-handling requirements.
The price shown during checkout applies to the information available when the order is placed.
Additional charges may apply if:
- The delivery address entered by the customer is incorrect or incomplete.
- The customer requests an address change after dispatch.
- The carrier applies a correction fee because of inaccurate address information.
- The customer requests a special delivery service after placing the order.
- The parcel is returned because delivery could not be completed.
We will not add additional shipping charges without a valid reason. Where customer approval is required, we will contact the customer before proceeding.
4. Order processing
Orders are processed on business days.
Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or applicable public holidays that affect order processing, carrier operations or delivery.
Products may be shipped from:
- Our location in Norway.
- A fulfilment location.
- A supplier or distribution warehouse.
Where no different lead time is shown on the product page, at checkout or in the order confirmation, we normally aim to dispatch the order within 1–4 business days.
Some products may require additional processing time because they:
- Are sourced from an external warehouse.
- Require supplier confirmation.
- Are ordered specifically for the customer.
- Require additional customs or export documentation.
- Are oversized or require special packaging.
- Are temporarily awaiting replenishment.
Any delivery or dispatch estimate displayed on the product page, during checkout or in the order confirmation takes priority over the general processing estimate above.
If a material delay occurs before dispatch, we will contact you using the email address provided with the order.
5. Delivery estimates
Delivery estimates are shown where available during checkout or in the shipping confirmation.
Delivery times are estimates and are generally calculated from the date of dispatch, not from the date on which the order was placed.
Estimated delivery times may be affected by:
- Order-processing time.
- Weekends or public holidays.
- Customs clearance.
- Incomplete delivery information.
- Unpaid import charges.
- Carrier disruptions.
- Weather events.
- Strikes.
- Security inspections.
- Events outside our reasonable control.
Carrier estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless a specific guaranteed service has been expressly confirmed in writing.
Mandatory consumer rights relating to delayed or missing deliveries remain unaffected.
6. Order confirmation and shipping confirmation
After placing an order, you will normally receive an order confirmation by email.
An order confirmation confirms that we have received the order. It does not necessarily confirm that every product has been allocated or dispatched.
Once the shipment has been prepared, you will normally receive a shipping confirmation containing:
- The carrier.
- A tracking number or tracking link.
- The products included in the shipment.
- Available delivery information.
Tracking information may take some time to become active after the shipping label has been created.
7. Split shipments
An order may be divided into more than one shipment where:
- Products are stored at different locations.
- Products become available at different times.
- Parcel size or weight requires separate packages.
- Different products require different shipping services.
You may receive separate tracking information for each shipment.
Unless otherwise stated, you will not be charged additional shipping merely because SVAICO chooses to divide an order into several shipments.
Import authorities or carriers may assess each parcel separately in accordance with local rules.
8. Product availability and backorders
Product availability may change before an order is dispatched.
If a product becomes unavailable after the order is placed, we may:
- Wait for the product to become available.
- Offer an alternative product.
- Ship the available products separately.
- Cancel the unavailable product and issue a refund.
- Cancel the complete order where partial delivery is not practical.
We will contact you where your approval or a decision is required.
We will not replace an ordered product with a materially different product without your agreement.
9. Delivery addresses
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery address.
The address should include, where applicable:
- Full recipient name.
- Company name.
- Street and building number.
- Apartment, unit or floor.
- Postal code.
- City.
- Region or state.
- Country.
- Valid telephone number.
- Valid email address.
A telephone number and email address may be shared with the carrier where necessary for delivery and customs-clearance purposes.
We normally cannot deliver to post-office boxes or parcel lockers unless the shipping method offered during checkout expressly supports them.
Contact support@svaico.com immediately if you notice an error in the delivery address.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered processing or been dispatched.
The carrier may charge an address-correction or redirection fee. Where the error originated from information supplied by the customer, the customer may be responsible for this cost.
10. Tracking and delivery notifications
Where tracking is available, customers should monitor the shipment and respond to reasonable requests from:
- The carrier.
- Customs authorities.
- SVAICO.
The carrier may contact the recipient regarding:
- Delivery arrangements.
- Address confirmation.
- Customs documentation.
- Import VAT or duties.
- Brokerage or clearance charges.
- Identification or tax information.
- Collection from an access point.
Failure to respond may result in delay, storage or return of the shipment in accordance with carrier or customs procedures.
11. Taxes, VAT, customs duties and import fees
International shipments may be subject to:
- Import VAT.
- Sales tax.
- Customs duties.
- Tariffs.
- Brokerage fees.
- Disbursement fees.
- Customs-clearance fees.
- Local handling charges.
- Other government or carrier charges.
The amount and type of charges depend on the destination, product classification, country of origin, declared value and local rules.
Where import charges are collected during checkout
If checkout expressly states that duties, import taxes or similar charges are included or collected, those amounts will be charged as part of the order.
Any taxes or duties collected by SVAICO during checkout will be handled according to the information displayed to the customer and applicable tax and customs requirements.
Where import charges are not collected during checkout
Unless checkout expressly states that import duties, taxes and related fees are included, the recipient may be responsible for paying applicable:
- Import VAT.
- Customs duties.
- Tariffs.
- Brokerage fees.
- Clearance fees.
- Local taxes and handling charges.
These charges are separate from shipping fees charged by SVAICO and may be collected by the carrier or local authorities before or after delivery.
SVAICO cannot guarantee or predict the exact amount of charges imposed by the destination country.
Contact your local customs or tax authority before ordering if you require further information about potential import charges.
12. Customs clearance
Customers are responsible for ensuring that ordered products may legally be imported into the destination country.
Customs authorities or the carrier may request:
- Identification.
- Tax identification number.
- VAT number.
- Social-security or personal identification number where legally required.
- Import permits.
- End-use information.
- Product information.
- Proof of purchase.
- Payment of import charges.
The customer must provide required information accurately and within the deadline given by the carrier or customs authority.
SVAICO will prepare customs documentation using the product and order information available to us.
We do not declare commercial orders as gifts and do not deliberately declare an incorrect product value or description.
Customs clearance may delay delivery. Such delays are generally outside SVAICO's direct control, but we will provide reasonable assistance where appropriate.
13. Remote areas and special-delivery locations
Some addresses may be classified by the carrier as:
- Remote areas.
- Extended areas.
- Islands.
- Military locations.
- Offshore locations.
- Areas requiring special delivery.
Additional charges or longer delivery times may apply.
Where a special surcharge is known during checkout, it will normally be included in the shipping price.
If the carrier identifies an unexpected surcharge after the order is placed, we may contact you before dispatch. You may choose to pay the additional amount or cancel the affected order for a refund.
14. Oversized and restricted products
Some products may require:
- Oversized-parcel shipping.
- Freight transport.
- Special handling.
- Additional packaging.
- Delivery to a commercial address.
- Additional documentation.
Certain products may not be eligible for air transport or shipment to particular destinations.
Where the normal checkout rate cannot be used, we may contact you with a shipping quotation before dispatch.
You may reject the quotation and receive a refund for the affected product or order.
15. Delivery attempts and access points
The carrier determines the available delivery procedure for the destination.
A shipment may be:
- Delivered directly to the recipient.
- Delivered to another person at the address where permitted.
- Delivered to a neighbour where legally and operationally permitted.
- Redirected to a carrier access point.
- Held for collection.
- Subject to another delivery attempt.
Customers should follow the tracking information and carrier instructions.
Where a shipment is delivered to an access point, it must be collected before the carrier's deadline.
16. Unclaimed, refused and undeliverable shipments
A shipment may be returned to us if:
- The address is incorrect or incomplete.
- The recipient cannot be reached.
- Delivery is refused.
- The parcel is not collected.
- Customs information is not provided.
- Import duties, taxes or fees are not paid.
- Importation is rejected by local authorities.
Refusing delivery does not automatically constitute a valid cancellation or withdrawal notice.
You should also contact support@svaico.com and clearly state that you wish to cancel or withdraw from the purchase.
Where permitted by law, actual costs caused by an unclaimed, refused or undeliverable shipment may be deducted from any refund. These may include:
- Original shipping costs.
- Return shipping.
- Carrier surcharges.
- Customs charges.
- Brokerage fees.
- Storage fees.
- Address-correction charges.
- Other documented costs.
No such deduction will be made where delivery failed because of an error attributable to SVAICO or because the shipment was correctly refused due to visible damage or an incorrect product.
17. Delayed shipments
A shipment may be delayed due to carrier operations, customs, weather, holidays, high shipment volumes or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Contact support@svaico.com if the tracking information has not updated for an unusual period or the estimated delivery window has passed.
We will investigate the shipment with the carrier where appropriate.
Do not place a replacement order solely because tracking is delayed unless you are prepared to keep or return both orders if both are delivered.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer right to cancel, request delivery or obtain a refund where an order is materially delayed or not delivered.
18. Lost shipments
A parcel is not automatically considered lost merely because tracking has stopped updating or the estimated delivery date has passed.
The carrier may require an investigation before confirming that a shipment is lost.
If a shipment is confirmed lost before delivery, SVAICO will provide an appropriate remedy. This may include:
- Sending a replacement.
- Refunding the affected product.
- Refunding the affected order.
The remedy will depend on product availability, the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
For consumer orders, SVAICO remains responsible for the goods until they have been delivered to the customer or another person designated by the customer, subject to mandatory law and exceptions where the customer independently appoints a carrier not offered by SVAICO.
19. Damaged shipments
Inspect the package as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If the package or product is damaged, contact support@svaico.com promptly and include:
- Order number.
- Tracking number.
- Description of the damage.
- Photographs of all sides of the outer package.
- Photograph of the shipping label.
- Photographs of the internal packaging.
- Photographs of the damaged product.
- Photographs of any loose or missing components.
Keep all packaging and the damaged product until the case has been resolved.
Do not install, use, repair, modify or discard a damaged product unless instructed by SVAICO.
Reporting visible transport damage within 48 hours helps us submit a carrier claim. This requested reporting period does not remove or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
20. Incorrect or missing products
Contact support@svaico.com promptly if:
- A product is missing from the delivered shipment.
- The quantity is incorrect.
- You received a different product from the one ordered.
- A parcel appears to have been opened or tampered with.
Include photographs of the package, label, contents and packing materials.
Do not install or use an incorrect product.
We will investigate the matter and provide an appropriate remedy where the error is confirmed.
21. Changes and cancellations before dispatch
Contact support@svaico.com as quickly as possible if you wish to:
- Cancel an order.
- Change the delivery address.
- Change the shipping service.
- Add or remove products.
We will attempt to accommodate the request, but changes cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun.
An order cannot normally be redirected or cancelled after it has been collected by the carrier.
Where an order has already been dispatched, the customer may need to receive and return it in accordance with our Returns, Refunds and Right of Withdrawal Policy.
22. Risk of loss and delivery
For consumer orders, the risk of loss or damage generally remains with SVAICO until the customer, or a person designated by the customer other than the carrier, receives physical possession of the shipment.
This may apply differently where the customer independently commissions a carrier that was not offered by SVAICO.
For business purchases, risk may pass according to the agreed delivery terms and applicable law.
23. Business customers
Delivery terms for business customers may differ from those applying to consumers.
Business customers are responsible for:
- Checking commercial shipments promptly after delivery.
- Reporting visible transport damage promptly.
- Providing valid company and import information.
- Paying applicable import charges unless otherwise agreed.
- Ensuring that the delivery location can receive the shipment.
Any individually agreed shipping or delivery terms take priority over this general policy.
24. Mandatory legal rights
This Shipping Policy does not exclude, restrict or replace mandatory rights concerning:
- Delivery.
- Delayed delivery.
- Missing shipments.
- Damaged products.
- Incorrect products.
- Consumer cancellation rights.
- Refunds.
- Transfer of risk.
Where applicable local law provides stronger rights than this policy, those mandatory rights apply.
